Job Description

Develop and implement business strategies and sales/marketing plans. Forecast and achieve sales goals and key metrics. Direct and coach sales/admin staff; conduct weekly ride-alongs.
Assist with customer solicitation, bid prep, and retention strategies. Review CRM funnel, performance vs. goals, and training needs. Proactively manage accounts and resolve issues. Participate in pricing strategy development. Maintain awareness of market behavior and competitive trends. Complete sales reports and review Customer Service Agreements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Leadership: Strong leader with a track record of turnaround success. Ability to coach and hold team accountable. Lead by example, guide—not hammer down.
  • Industry Experience: Preferably from waste, industrial, or similar industries.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to grow the market, respond to RFPs, create pricing from scratch, and write proposals. Relationship-driven approach.
  • Financial Skills: Some financial acumen (review reports, support budgeting). P&L managed externally, but needs to understand impact.
  • Community & Regulatory Relations: Manage relationships with cities and regulators. Handle elected officials and compliance aspects.
