The Lead SDET develops software, frameworks, and automation tools to ensure end-to-end quality for the customers’ applications. This role emphasizes continuous learning, quality engineering, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, team leader, and mentor who can guide the team toward achieving the company’s vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation frameworks to improve quality and deployment speed.
- Analyze code flow and interactions across processes.
- Document processes and recommend improvements.
- Manage and track user issues; troubleshoot bugs across mobile, desktop, and web platforms.
- Execute and maintain automated tests; debug scripts.
- Participate in planning meetings and provide technical feedback.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in software development/testing, with a focus on web and mobile applications, is a plus.
- Strong foundation in object-oriented principles, algorithms, and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Expertise in TDD, BDD, and testing patterns.
- Experience designing and implementing test strategies for complex applications.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and best coding practices.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with pipeline-as-code and GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of LambdaTest, TestRail, and data-driven testing.
- Mobile testing and automation frameworks.
